Prime Minister David Cameron visits Original BTC HQ

Prime Minister David Cameron visited the headquarters of British lighting and homewares manufacturer The Original BTC Group in his Witney constituency in October 2014, touring the factory with founder Peter Bowles. Bowles’ repertoire includes launching new brands, rescuing struggling British heritage brands and factories as well as designing the Group’s products, all in conjunction with son Charlie. The Group now exports 50% of its production around the globe and has recently opened a showroom in Paris.

"I was delighted to visit Original BTC’s factory in my constituency. The Group, which has remained at the forefront of the industry, is a fantastic example of what can be achieved in a difficult economic climate. I know how much hard work has been put in by Peter and all the staff and it is great to see the rewards of these efforts,” said Cameron.
